Apples are large, green and powerful in flavour. Requires other nearby apple trees fore good cropping. Plant in any soil, in a sunny spot.
- Weeping Birch 'Shaft'. Medium-sized deciduous tree.Has upright, pyramidal shape with long, drooping branches. Leaves are bright green, before turning golden-yellow in Autumn. Bark is attractive, peeling away to reveal white layers beneath. Valuable to wildlife.
- 'Kilmarnock' is a stiffly deciduous, half standard tree with yellowish branches, ovate leaves, and large grey catkins with yellow anthers opening before the leaves in Spring. The pollen-laden catkins are immensely popular with bees.Ideal for smaller gardens.
- 'Pendula' is a lovely half standard weeping ornamental pear tree with beautiful grey-green narrow leaves that have a silver downy underside. Pretty single white flowers appear in April-May and they are popular with wildlife. The wonderful silvery-blue foliage turns an attractive bronzed green in the autumn before falling and brown/green ornamental fruits are also produced which are eaten by birds.
- Black Locust. A slow-growing, half standard deciduous tree.Charming and unusual twisted stems and curly leaves. The foliage emerges a refreshing lime green with multiple pairs of rounded leaflets, transforming into a beautiful buttery yellow in Autumn. This dwarf member of the Black Locust family boasts fragrant white flowers hanging delicately from its curled branches in summer.
- Paper Bush 'Grandiflora'. Deciduous shrub with large, fragrant yellow flowers. Flowers appear on bare stems during February and March, before mid-green leaves emerge. Bark is attractive all-year round.Ideal for poor soil and drier spots.
- Rocky mountain Juniper.Dense, ascending branches with aromatic, steel-blue leaves form a narrow, pencil-shaped plant. Often carrying juniper berries in Autumn.Prune to desired shape and height.
- Ornamental Cherry. Deciduous half standard tree.Pale pink, fragrant flowers appear in spring, after the young leaves have appeared. The colourful foliage is red whilst young, turning a more intense red-purple through the summer months and becoming more bronzed in autumn. Occasionally a few cherry sized, blackish-purple fruits are produced in July.
- Honey Locust. Large, deciduous tree.Leaves are arranged in small, delicate 'leaflets', and turn bright yellow in Autumn. Branches are slightly weeping, and produce a graceful shape.
