5 Lily of the Valley (Convallaria Majalis)
Flowers May – July.
Height 8″/20cm.
Blooms with diminutive crystal-white bell-shaped flowers, growing from dark green stalks with long dark green foliage, highly fragranced aroma.
These plants flourish in moist soil and full or partial shade making these bulbs ideal for planting in areas of woodland or shady borders. After the flowers have died back, little red berries will grow.
Can be used as a cut flower for display.
Convallaria majalis bulbs can be planted in a wide range of soils, depth of 3cm/1″ and a spacing of 15cm/6″.
Once established, Lily of the Valley plants will require little maintenance and will make for superb groundcover.
